BACK ON THE BALL: SFC Wealdstone Returns!

FOLLOWING a near-20-year hiatus, SFC Wealdstone - the Wealdstone FC supporters' football team - is reforming ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Led by some familiar faces from the terraces at The Vale, the team is appealing for the support of prospective sponsors to help off-set what are considerable set-up costs for the newly-formed side.

Would-be players are also being warmly welcomed. Approaches should be made either via email to sfcwealdstone@gmail.com, on social media or directly to co-organiser Luca Rossetto on 07934 502460.

With the idea having bobbled around for a while, the recent 'Play on the Pitch' fixture at The Vale after the end of last season really cemented the rebirth of a Sunday team which enjoyed significant success through past decades.

SFCW will begin their new life in the bottom-flight (Division 2) of the Watford Sunday Football League, with home matches in Croxley Green. The season begins in earnest on September 6 - although friendlies are planned throughout August.

In trying to keep grassroots football affordable for what's a largely young squad, anyone interested in sponsoring this new venture is invited to call co-organiser Adam Hills for a chat on 07912 932946.

UNDER-16 SEASON TICKETS FOR JUST £1 PER GAME

YOUNG Stones' fans can follow the boys in blue & white - who we hope will be dynamite - this season for £23; that's a solitary pound per each home Enterprise National League fixture.

What's more, it's just £10 when attached to an Adult Season Ticket purchase. And you can add as many U16s as you like so long as there's at least one Adult in the online basket.

If a Season Ticket doesn't feel like the right choice, it's never any more than just £5 for Under-16s at all home league fixtures, but remember supporters under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult-age ticket buyer - as per new-season guidelines set out by The National League.
