THE CONTEXT

Wealdstone begin their pre-season with a short trip to Hendon where they will be looking to get some valuable minutes in the tank as they prepare for the upcoming National League season. This pre-season trip to Kingsbury will be useful one for the Stones as they look to integrate newest signings Sam Howes, Matt Young and Tarryn Allarakhia into the squad. Hendon like the Stones finished 16th in their campaign last season and the Southern Premier Division South side will be looking to kick on in pre-season for the new campaign.

WHAT WAS SAID?

New loan signing Matt Young: “I’ll be looking to get match fitness. I’ll also be looking to bond with the rest of the boys and get used to playing with them which will be important for when the first game comes around. Getting a style of play, getting me fitted in to it and hopefully doing the best for the team.”
