We have signed Joe Payne, a left back, on a 1 month loan from Barnet FC.

The 18 year old full back has made 25 appearances over the course of his career and will be looking to make an impact on an injury-struck Wealdstone side.

Bobby Wilkinson was inclined to add to the squad after captain Jerome Okimo (who can play left back as he did against Gloucester on Monday night), picked up an injury. This left Rhys Tyler as the only 'cover' for the left back position.

Joe first broke through onto the Barnet scene having signed his first professional contract at the age of 17. He made his debut against Peterborough in the Checkatrade Trophy in 2016, coming on as an early substitute.

We can also confirm that midfielder Fumnaya Shomotun has extended his loan period with us for a further month.
