Management Team



Gordon Bartlett – Manager

Gordon is in his 22nd season as manager of Wealdstone FC and 3rd season in the National League South. In 2013/14 he guided his side to win the Ryman Premier Division, also winning both the League Respect and Fairplay awards. Prior to joining Stones in June 1995 he took Hounslow Town to promotion and League Cup success, led both Southall and Yeading to FA Vase finals at Wembley, also gaining two promotions with Yeading. Previously he had played at Portsmouth, Denver Dynamos (USA), Brentford, Slough Town and Hayes.


Scott McGleish – Assistant Manager

Scott was appointed as assistant manager in June 2016 following an outstanding player career. He joined Wealdstone in March 2013 and scored on his debut. He still has an outstanding work rate which most of the younger players struggle to keep up with. Scott’s high profile previous clubs include Leyton Orient, Bristol Rovers, Wycombe Wanderers, Northampton, Charlton & Colchester Utd. His all-time favourite memory is playing in the 5th Round of the FA Cup against Arsenal at the Emirates. He works for the PFA.


Steve Newing: – Coach

Steve joined Wealdstone June 2016 from Boreham Wood FC having managed Enfield Town until November 2013. He had taken Enfield Town from Ryman North to the Ryman Premier League. He has also managed Edgware Town.


Micky Johnson – Coach

Joined Wealdstone in 2008 after managing Ruislip Manor 1st team, ran  U/18 to back to back league titles including a cup double whilst also running the successful youth club side Pinnacle FC. As a player had spells with Brentford youth team, Southend Utd, Hayes, Slough and Beaconsfield until a serious knee injury put paid to the playing career.. Also coached at Reading Academy, still employed by Reading FC in a scouting role.


Jason Scannell – Goalkeeping Coach

Joined  July 2010 as Goalkeeping Coach; holder of the UEFA B (Level 3) Goalkeeping Coaching Licence since 2002 & UEFA B (Level 3) Coaching Licence  since 1999. Jason is Academy Goalkeeping Coach at Watford FC & is a qualified Goalkeeping Coach Educator/Tutor for the FA.


Gary Strudwick – Physio

Gary was originally part of the Ruislip Manor FC set-up and has since become an invaluable member of the back-room team bringing his many years of experience and knowledge to the fore which has directly benefited the fitness and well being of the playing staff.


James Smith – Sports Therapist

James joined the back-room team in 2003 as Sports Therapist to the then youth team. He became more involved at the beginning of the 2005 – 2006 season and achieved FA Level Three qualification in Dec 2006.
