Wealdstone Ladies 6 -2 Bedwell Rangers

As a result of this excellent win Stones Ladies retain their top of the league position. Bedwell were the only other unbeaten side in the
Womens U18 league prior to this match.
Bedwell came out strongly from the first whistle, with a shot on goal which hit the Stones cross bar; both teams were determined to gain a
grip on the game but the Stones pressured the Bedwell goal well. In an end to end period of play, Stones got on top with two goals from
Rosie Watts showing great skills.

This further encouraged the Stones, and Nicola Dixon added to the score sheet with a well taken effort and Stevie Wickes was denied a goal
that was inches away. Bedwell scored just on half time. HT score 3-1.
Bedwell came out attacking straight into the second half and scored again. Lauren Simmons came on for Fiona Williamson who was injured in
the first half. The Stones upped their game  and played some brilliant football in the second half culminating in Stevie Wickes threading
a ball through for Nicola Dixon who scored her second goal and then Catherine Fahy added to the score within a minute. With added time
being played, Stevie Wickes scored with a superb shot into the top corner and the final score was 6-2.
All the girls knew they had to step up a gear in this important clash; they all played above and beyond expectations and the
management team couldnt have asked for a better result.
