Supporters Launch Task Force Ten

Following the amazing success of the 100:400 scheme last season supporters of Wealdstone FC have launched Task Force Ten to raise funds for season 2010/11. The success of 100:400 helped the club to retain a promising young team who reached the 1st Round Proper of the FA Cup and fell agonisingly short of the play offs and in an ever challenging financial environment this supporter led initiative is looking to give the club the best chance of success this season.

The scheme is designed to raise a minimum £10,000 towards season 2010/11 to support the retention of last season’s squad and to enable Gordon Bartlett and his management team to build on the positive pre season signings and continue to take the club forward. The club continues to run a prudent playing budget and live within its means and this scheme is a crucial part in helping the club to build on its recent success in its new home at Grosvenor Vale.

The scheme will kick off with the funds raised a few weeks ago to support the signing of Scott Fitzgerald which generated a fantastic response. Task Force Ten will look to build on this response and will seek to raise the funds in the following ways.Donations

  • Sponsoring a players goals or wins
  • Sponsoring the clubs goals or wins
  • Share purchases
  • Sale of unwanted items / memorabilia on E-Bay
  • Race night, raffle & other fund raising activities to be announced

Regular updates will be provided on the Stones website and forum and in match day programmes. Please contact Roger Slater, Dominic Whyley or Jeremy Albert on match days or e-mail if you are able to support the fundraising or help in anyway.
