20160731_MBproggie coverLess than 48hours to the Stones v Marathon Bet Men Utd Premier League Legends match at The Grosvenor Vale Stadium (HA4 6JQ) on Sunday at 3:00pm.

Admission to the game is £10 Adults, £5 Concessions, £2 Children  – cash at the turnstiles on the day. The Ruislip Social Club  opens at noon as usual, hot food is available from the catering outlet situated behind the Club House/Megastore from 13:00 and turnstiles open at 14:00. If you have ordered tickets on-line these can be collected from the Archery hut at the top end of the car park.

Don’t forget to pick-up your match day souvenir programme (£2.00) on entering the ground. The tea bar in the ground will be providing the usual range of hot & cold drinks and nibbles throughout the afternoon.

Wealdstone FC will take 90% of the gate receipts for winning Marathonbet’s Non-League Challenge – the hunt to find lower league football’s greatest goal celebration – while 10% will go to charity partner Prostate Cancer UK. There will also be a bucket collection at the game.

The Premier League Legends side will be managed by Alan Curbishley who will select from:  Maik Taylor (GK), Lauren (RB), Daniel Gabbidon (CB), Frank Sinclair (CB), Michael Duberry (CB), Nigel Winterburn (LB), Chris Powell (LB), Darren Anderton (RM), Trevor Sinclair (RM), Matt Holland (CM), Muzzy Izzet (CM), Hayden Mullins (CM), Ruel Fox (LM), Dion Dublin (ST), Kevin Davies (ST), Clinton Morrison (ST), Teddy Sheringham (ST).

The Wealdstone FC squad will feature members of the current first team and will also include recent players such as Lee Chappell, Richard Jolly, Jimmy Gray, Sean Cronin. In the  second half the likes of  Darren Bonfield, Paul Lamb, Paul Bowgett, Alan Cordice, Neil Cordice, Mark Bentley, Peter Dean, Fergus Moore, Glenn Little, Chris Moore, Gordon Hill Roving Superstar! Martin Carter, Chris O’Leary, Robin Tucker and Scott Fitzgerald will be making appearances.

Parking on the adjacent field to the stadium will be operation, please ensure that you follow directions from the stewards on arrival.  You can also park in the side streets near to the stadium or use  one of the  pay & display car parks which are within 10 – 12 minutes walk (see map HERE for assistance). Please be aware the Local Hillingdon Traffic Enforcement Department are likely to be out and about and if you happen to park your vehicle inappropriately in the one of  the side streets you are likely to get a ticket. You have been warned!
