Stones to Support Mayor’s Charities with Festive Fun on Boxing Day!
Stones’ supporters, youth section, ladies section, players, directors, sponsors and all staff will be encouraged to ‘Wear your Christmas Jumper to the Game’ event on Boxing Day when we play Maidenhead United in a Vanarama National League South match at The Vale, Kick-Off 1.30pm.
The Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor John Hensley and the Mayoress, Mrs Diane Hensley, will be in attendance at the game when a large crowd is expected. It is also hoped that several special guests and personalities will join in the fun when an award will be made for the best and worst Christmas Jumper! Anyone not wearing a jumper will be first to donate to the charity collections at the turnstiles! Buckets will be held by the Club Chairman, Peter Marsden, and both the Mayor and Mayoress while also sporting a dashing blue Santa’s hat.
Club organiser Carol Griffiths said: ‘We are delighted to be able to support the Mayor of Hillingdon’s charities at one of our biggest games of the season and to do it in such festive style. The charity appeal celebrates the theme ‘Journey through Life’ and they certainly illustrate this. Christmas is about giving and being together, so let’s do both while watching some great football and enjoying the fabulous atmosphere Wealdstone FC are known for. All at the club are looking forward to a really good day”
