Keeper James Bransgrove joins the Stones on loan from Colchester United

Whilst regular goalkeeper Jonathan North continues his rehabilitation training and fitness recovery, Wealdstone have signed James Bransgrove from Sky Bet League 1 outfit Colchester United on an initial one month youth loan.

Speaking to Colchester’s official website, James said: “I can’t wait for my first game there. I went to Bishop’s Stortford last season so have a good idea about what to expect.”

“Having missed a lot of football, I went to Maldon for a month a little while ago and that really helped me get my fitness and sharpness back.

“Wealdstone are a couple of leagues above that so I’m sure it will be tougher but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

He added: “I think that we have seven or eight games in the next month and playing games is what I’m most looking forward to after missing so much football over the past couple of years.”

James will be available for Stones trip to Concord on Saturday
