Stones on the Road Sat 7th Sep – Bury Town v Wealdstone

Unbeaten Wealdstone will face their toughest challenge so far this campaign when they travel to Ram Meadow, home of Bury Town FC on Saturday, a clash that will be played out in front of a decent Non League Day crowd in deepest Suffolk.

Stones will be buoyed up by their recent excellent form of four straight wins but the Blues are undoubtedly a different proposition to recent fixtures and they will pose a strong attacking threat.

Forwards John Sands and Billy Clark have three goals a piece already and Clark in particular looks to be in good form, whilst their defence looks solid enough with towering summer signing Adam Bailey-Dennis likely to pose problems aerially.

Stones will have some injury concerns in the back division and will be hoping that Jerome Okimo is fit to play. New signing Josh Hill is unlikely to be available following the head injury sustained during last Saturday’s 7-1 win over Cray Wanderers.

Wealdstone will be backed, as ever, by a large travelling support – check with Jeremy Albert for WFCSC coach details.
