Dyer & Locke seek pastures new

Stylish midfielder Alex Dyer has been signed by newly promoted Conference National side Welling United. The ex Northampton Town professional and Montserrat international has enjoyed an excellent period at Stones, making 117 appearances and finding the net 32 times.

Wealdstone Manager Gordon Bartlett said: ‘Alex is an outstanding talent and it’s no surprise that he has looked to get back to playing at a higher level – something that he has always been very honest about with his ambition to get back to pro football . He has done a great job for us and we wish Alex all the very best. Whilst this is disappointing news it shows once again that players can successfully progress their playing career at Wealdstone and move on to higher levels of football and he joins a long list in recent seasons that have done so ‘

In other transfer news, centre half Darren Locke has moved to Southern Premier side St Albans City
