Going to the Trophy Replay – Read On
Our hosts have decided to segregate the fans at tomorrow nights FA Trophy replay at The Gallagher Stadium Kick-off 7:45. Please read the text below received from Maidstone United earlier today which you are ALL asked to follow on the night.
Segregation for Maidstone United FC vs. Wealdstone FC
FA Trophy 2QR Replay
Tuesday 5th November 2013, kick off 7.45pm
After many hours of deliberation with all of the different safety authorities we have decided that in the interests of everyone’s safety and well-being that the above game will be segregated.
This decision was not taken lightly as there is little problem between the majority of both sets of fans and traditionally there are few problems at this level.
The only problem that we could not solve was because of the numbers that our games attract, when the sets of fans change ends we could not guarantee to keep the surplus that stay where they are apart and because of any friction this situation could cause it was decided to segregate.
Visiting supporters will take the northeast section of the ground. This includes seats in the main stand and a section of covered terracing behind the goal.
Admission for Wealdstone supporters will be via Gate C on James Whatman Way. The gate will open at 6.15pm. There is a stepped entry into the ground. Any supporters who have difficulty with steps will be escorted via the main entrance.
There will be a refreshment kiosk and toilets in the away section. Because of the FA Trophy alcohol restrictions, no alcoholic drinks will be served from that kiosk. Also, regrettably, there is no indoor area for warmth before the game or at half time.
If there is a supporters coach tomorrow, it will be able to drop off on James Whatman Way (outside the library) and park up on that road if there is space available. We are hoping to cone off some bays. If that’s not possible, there’s the Maidstone Coach Park on Vinters Road (ME14 5DX) – a five minute drive away.
Players and officials will still enter via the Vice Presidents’ gate, off the main car park.
