Wealdstone Ladies 9 – 1 Whiteknights

Wealdstone Girls played their last home game in the league on Sunday, against Whiteknights, and in the process wrapped up the title!
The Stones were put into the lead by Nicola Dixon in the first two minutes of the game; as usual the Stones played with confidence and good team play. Emily Bermingham played a through ball to Rosie Watts who found the back of the net. Plenty of shots on goal from Claire Holden, Nicola Dixon and Rosie Watts. The Stones kept the pressure on and near to the first half whistle, Rebecca threaded a pass through to Stevie Wickes who headed the ball into the Whiteknights goal – 3-0 at half time.

A minute into the second half , Claire Holden went through and scored a super goal. The Whiteknights keeper did well to keep the barage of goal attempts out of her net. Stevie Wickes took a free kick from outside the box and it shook the cross bar. Rosie Watts kept a cool head, and scored. Nicola Dixon beat the off-side trap and scored her second goal. The Stones confidence was growing and Emily Bermingham, from the halfway line,  saw the keeper was off her line and took advantage and scored. Catherine Fahy then came on again the opposition keeper came off her line and Catherine scored, and a minute later, scored again.
Just on the full time whistle, Whiteknights penetrated our defence and scored. Final Score Wealdstone 9 Whiteknights 1
