Stones beat the weather and train at RAF Northolt

Wealdstone Manager Gordon Bartlett was pleased after ‘ a very bright training and gym session’ at RAF Northolt on Saturday that was vital to maintain fitness levels after so many postponed games due to the recent snow and frozen pitch conditions.

Not that ace striker Richard Jolly will be too concerned with his own fitness after jogging over 15 miles to and from Saturday’s session for his additional training regime for the London Marathon in April!

Loanee player from Watford Tommie Hoban took part in the two hour session with new midfielder Tom Pett; injury worries Alan Massey and Wes Parker both trained together with striker George Daly who is making strong progress following his operation last year; long term injured Alex Dyer did gym work on the bike and cross trainer.

Training was followed by a team meeting emphasising how important the whole squad will be over next 11 weeks as Stones are still in the hunt in three competitions.
