Jolly returns to Stones on loan

Wealdstone have dramatically secured the services of one of their most prolific goal scorers of all time – Richard Jolly – who has signed a one month loan deal from Ryman Premier league leaders Sutton United.Stones Manager Gordon Bartlett has been urgently seeking to boost his strike force as the goals have dried up in recent weeks and Jolly will join last weeks signing, fellow forward Kieran Knight from Blue Square Conference South side Maidenhead United.

Terrace icon Jolly came to Stones from Hayes FC in 2003 and during his three seasons with Wealdstone he scored a highly impressive 107  goals from only 165 appearances, playing alongside Everton’s Jermaine Beckford in a hugely successful free-scoring partnership.
Jolly has been a top marksman wherever he has played since leaving the Stones, including AFC Wimbledon and Carshalton and will be available for this Saturday’s match at The Vale against Hendon in a vitally important league clash.

Gordon Bartlett said: ‘ We have got someone here who has come back to his roots and has the ability to rekindle our goalscoring fortunes and kick start us as a team. We have always had the goals within us but we need a spark and hopefully Jols and Kieran can provide that.

‘It’s a good lift for the team and the supporters who have been fantastic because they have funded this signing. I am grateful to the supporters club and the fans for helping us out. We have no sugar daddy at this club so we help each other out’
