Hornchurch Game On!

With the condition of the pitch vastly improved following a merciful period of thaw and then relatively little rain, New Year’s day will see a Ryman League Premier Division match at St Georges Stadium at long last – the previous league encounter being as long ago as December 4th when we entertained Aveley at The Vale when a very welcome three points was collected.

AFC Hornchurch are sitting in a play off position and will arrive at Ruislip with 30 points obtained from 18 games and will, as ever, be a tough nut to crack.

The news from the Stones camp is that all players are fit and suspensions served, with the exception of Darren Locke whose ankle injury appears to be worse than first anticipated. A key question for the management team is who will take Kieron Forbes position in the midfield following his well publicised move to Forest Green Rovers during this past week.

With both teams eager to press home their play-off hopes following the long lay-off, an intriguing match is in prospect  kick-off is at 3pm at The Vale. If you are travelling by car please park with care and consideration outside the ground as the usual additonal parking on the grass will not be in operation.
