GB on Bognor and player news

Speaking on the Wealdstone Information Line, Gordon Bartlett was very disappointed with the first half performance at Bognor Regis Town. ‘We tried an experiment and it seemed to work for the first 15 minutes but they dominated the rest of the half – our ball retention was poor, we were too far away from play and our shape was wrong’ he said.

‘We made some adjustments at half time and it’s easy to be wise after the event but we haven’t been performing well and we needed to try a different formation, but we changed things and I was pleased with the lads response in the second half. A point away from home against a good footballing side is a positive. ‘ I cannot fault our second half work rate – we know what these players are capable of and I am now looking forward to the Hastings match on Tuesday’
