Ngoyi pledges future to the Stones

Following the news that defender Marvin McCoy has signed a contract with the club last week, Wealdstone FC have confirmed that striker Greg Ngoyi has also put pen to paper.

Ngoyi burst onto the scene last December when in his début outing for the first team scored a brace against Met Police in the Ryman League Cup. The young striker then went on to net an impressive total of 18 goals in only 19 appearances, including 10 goals in the league, winning him a joint golden boot award along side midfielder Ryan Ashe.

Stones Manager Gordon Bartlett said: ‘ After a difficult first few weeks coming back from injury, Greg typified his character by putting in extra hours developing his fitness and this contract is reward for his hard work and dedication. He is a pleasure to work with, keen to improve and his hat trick against Harrow Borough last season made him a firm favourite with the fans as well. He is a likeable character who has easily fitted into the excellent team spirit within the squad and his goal per game ratio is been outstanding. I am confident Greg can build on this and with a good pre-season under his belt he can be a major asset in the coming campaign’.
