County Cup Draws Made

The draws have been made for the Middlesex Senior Cup and the Middlesex Charity Cup. In both competitions Wealdstone have drawn clubs from the Combined Counties League (Premier Division).

In the Senior Cup we are at home to North Greenford United in Round 2, the match due to be played on Tuesday 8th December 2009. Should we win we will be at home again in the next round, the Quarter Finals, to either Uxbridge or Ashford Town (Middx) on Tuesday 12th January
2010.

In the Charity Cup we entertain Hanworth Villa in Round 1, the match scheduled for Tuesday 20th October 2009 providing we dont draw our FA
Trophy tie with Margate the previous Saturday. Should we beat Hanworth Villa we will be away to either Uxbridge or AFC Hayes in the
Quarter Final, week commencing 25th January 2010.

In the Combined Counties League North Greenford are currently top having played 7, won 5, drawn 2 and lost 0, with 23 goals for and 6
against. Hanworth are 11th having played 8, won 2, drawn 1 and lost 5, with 7 goals for and 16 against.

FA CUP THIS SATURDAY

This Saturday, 12 September, Stones have a very important FA Cup tie at Arlesey Town. Arlesey play in the Zamaretto Southern League
(Division One Midlands) and currently occupy 10th position. They have played 5 league matches, winning 2, drawing 2 and losing 1. The
Blues have scored 5 goals in those games but have conceded only 2. They drew 0-0 at home to Bromsgrove Rovers last Saturday and in their
other two home league fixtures they have beaten Soham Town 3-1 and Atherstone Town 2-0. The Blues reached this stage of the FA Cup by
beating Hatfield Town 2-0 at their Hitchin Road ground in the last round.
